Games keep children engaged while learning language, practicing speaking, and learning subject matter
Having competition gives a sense of purpose to the activity
What is Game use as a SDAIE strategy?
You can have children make up their own board games pertaining to a lesson or subject with your guidance
You can use existing games like BINGO, or modify a style game like MONOPOLY or you can make a game the whole class can play, like a Pronoun game I created in a classbefore
In Reading, Writing, and Learning in ESL the authors' state, "Games create experiences with language and ideas, and experience is the glue that makes learning stick." (Peregoy & Boyle, 2008).
